WHO THIS IS FOR

You've been taking care of everyone else.

You're doing a lot and carrying a lot, and sometimes you find yourself wondering where you went in the midst of it all. Many of the people I work with are Jewish women in the middle of life, but what matters most is the desire to reconnect with yourself and figure out what comes next.

You're ready to spend time on yourself

Not as a luxury. As a course-correction you've been putting off.

You want to feel at home in your own skin

Stronger, calmer, less anxious. More like the person you recognize.

You're willing to work physically and emotionally

Both at once, that's the whole point of how this is built.

You're new to lifting, or leveling up

Either is welcome. Starting from nothing, or pretty advanced heavy stuff. I meet you where you are and we build from there.

I have a real passion for working with rabbis, cantors, and Jewish professionals. I know that world - it is hard, and people need support. I am in a unique position to offer it.

WHAT I'M WATCHING FOR

I love the moment a woman picks up a heavier weight than she ever imagined she would and also realizes she's walking through the world with more confidence.

- JAYMEE ALPERT

IN THEIR WORDS

What clients say...

Jaymee truly meets me where I am, which is usually whining, resistant, but showing up anyway. She has endless patience and deep compassion for whatever version of me walks through the door, and she never lets me forget how strong I actually am.

I've had a long and complicated relationship with exercise, and she's made it feel accessible in a new way. Navigating perimenopause, strength training has become a real priority, and I genuinely can't imagine doing it without her.

She's an authentic cheerleader, a grounding presence, and somehow turns planks into text learning time. I now always know the weekly Torah portion because her plank Rabbi-ing connects the physical to something bigger, while distracting me just long enough to hold the damn thing.

I'm deeply grateful she's in my corner. I sign in from California to New York for a reason.

QUESTIONS

Before you book

I've never lifted weights. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Plenty of people start having never picked up a dumbbell. We start where your body is today.

Do I need equipment at home?

No. We start with what you already have, and a lot of the time that's just your body. When you're ready for equipment I'd rather you borrow it than buy weights you'll outgrow in a month. Honestly, you mostly just need space for your body.

Zoom or in person?

Mostly Zoom, which means I can work with you from anywhere. If you're local to me in New York we can sometimes do it in person.

Is this therapy?

I'd call my work therapy-adjacent. I am goal-oriented, and we focus on where you're heading and what you want for yourself in the future. While our conversations may touch on all kinds of things, I'm clear about the boundaries of my role. If something feels like a conversation for your therapist, I will tell you - I’ve said that plenty of times. Coaching and therapy offer different kinds of support, and they work really well alongside each other.

What happens after three months?

Some people renew for another three months. Three months is enough to get started and see real change, and there's no obligation either way.

Do I have to be Jewish?

No. Jewish wisdom is available in whatever measure feels right to you, including not at all.

LET'S GET MOVING

Come see what this feels like first.

Drop me a line and we'll set up a free 30-minute session, half workout, half conversation. You don't have to decide anything today.
